Children may have an ordered school meal or bring their own packed lunch.  We encourage our children to follow our BEST ethos whilst they are in the lunch hall and ensure they are using manners and being courteous and considerate to adults and peers. We also encourage parents  to provide the children with a heathy lunch box and that we keep our children safe and they do not bring in hot soup, glass containers, or canned drinks because of the danger of accidents.  

Parents who believe that their circumstances make them eligible for a free school meal (Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance – income based) should bring evidence to the school.  Any discussions are in confidence. The school office will be able to give you guidelines of how to apply.

From October 2022 our school meal provider is Dolce.  A meal costs £2.35 per child per day. 

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals.

You will need to order your hot meals through the online system SchoolGrid. When your child starts here at Standens Barn Primary we will send you a link and password along with information about ordering food. You can order food up until 8.30am on the same day.

Payment is by either setting up a direct debit or crediting your school grid account.
